Emma Hearst graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, worked as a professional chef, co-owned a famous New York City restaurant and was once the youngest competitor ever on "Iron Chef: America." She walked away from it all to move back home and become a farmer.

Hearst and her husband John Barker opened Forts Ferry Farm in 2016. What began as a simple farmstand has expanded into a vast heirloom produce farm with a seasonally inspired kitchen, operated by a collective of innovators, farmers and food lovers.
